The Reading Agency Winter Mini Challenge is back!
Tuesday 1 December 2020 - Friday 15 January 2021
This year's theme is: Everyone is a Hero and features characters from books published by Knights Of. With the disruption to learning caused by Covid-19 this year, now more than ever, encouraging children to maintain their reading habit over the winter break is important.
Knights Of have also created a special booklist of their favourite titles to try during the Challenge. The list is full of heroes that inspire, challenge and push the definition of what it means to be a hero. There is something for every age - from early years to middle grade - and even some recommendations for teens and young adults who'd like to get heroic too!
To take part, children are encouraged to:
sign up FREE via summerreadingchallenge.org.uk where you'll find more information
read books, magazines, e-books and e-audiobooks, all available through Slough Libraries
rate and review the book on the Challenge website profile
join in fun online activities
complete the Challenge and unlock a virtual badge and a special Everyone Is A Hero certificate to print off and keep!
