"In the first lockdown people had more opportunity to take up a new interest or re-visit an old one. Whether you took up gardening, cooking or are just looking for some where new to walk, then Slough libraries have something for you. For those who choose to improve a language skill I would recommend DKs visual dictionaries.
The pictures show photo’s like a range of labelled spices and herbs, a greengrocers with all the fruit and vegetables named or plates of food very useful for reading menus. All the pages introduce learners to new vocabulary. If you wish you can test your progress by trying an activity on Transparent language available for free with your library membership. Slough libraries are operating through click and collect at present."
