Aged 14-25? "Be The Light in the Darkness" and Submit an Image of Togetherness!

The Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) 2021 are calling on young people, aged 14-25, to submit a photo related to the theme for HMD 2021: Be the light in the darkness. The best photos will be selected to form part of an exclusive online exhibition which will be launched on 27 January 2021.

The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2021 encourages everyone to reflect on the dark depths humanity can sink to, but also the ways individuals and communities resisted that darkness to ‘be the light’ before, during and after genocide. The photographs you enter into the competition should celebrate the people, groups, places and objects which bring us and others light in times of darkness.

Six winning images will be chosen by an expert judging panel who will be looking for creative, original, relevant images to feature in an exclusive online exhibition to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2021.

No photography experience is necessary, simply take a photo on your phone or digital camera and send it in using the link below to be in with a chance of having your photo featured in the exhibition.

The competition closes at 11.59pm on 10 January 2021.
